Welcome to Arctic Oilfield Hotel

Arctic Oilfield Hotel, nestled in the remote reaches of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, offers a unique blend of rugged practicality and surprising comfort. With a strong 4.5-star rating, this hotel primarily serves as lodging for oilfield workers but warmly welcomes visitors venturing to the far north. Its location at the edge of the Arctic tundra makes it an indispensable stop for those traveling the Dalton Highway or exploring the region.

Guests find the rooms clean and functional, designed with modern decor and essentials such as private bathrooms, heaters, and 40-inch flat-screen TVs. While the rooms are modest, often with twin beds suitable for solo travelers, they provide a cozy refuge after long, demanding days. The hotel's atmosphere is distinctly that of a working camp rather than a typical tourist resort; however, the attention to guest comfort shines through. Free Wi-Fi and parking add convenience, while amenities like free laundry on every floor, a fitness center, and a sauna enhance the stay.

One of the standout features is the all-inclusive dining setup. For oilfield workers, three meals a day come at no extra charge, served in a spacious, 24-hour cafeteria offering an all-you-can-eat snack shop. Though the food may lean towards functional rather than gourmet, it reliably nourishes both workers and visitors alike. Travelers appreciate the ability to grab food to-go for long drives, and staff like Tonya at the front desk are noted for their warm, helpful service.

Staying at Arctic Oilfield Hotel feels like settling into an extended-stay resort in one of the world's most extreme environments. It provides the essential comforts needed to rest, refresh, and prepare for the demanding Arctic adventures or work ahead — whether that means hunting on the tundra or traversing the Dalton Highway. While prices reflect its remote setting, guests find the experience worthwhile, a rare blend of rugged northern authenticity and genuine hospitality.

For anyone pushing far into Alaska's Arctic frontier, Arctic Oilfield Hotel is more than just a place to sleep — it is a steadfast companion on the journey north, offering respite and reprieve amidst the vast, icy wilderness.

Very comfortable beds! All food comes with the room, which includes a 24 hour, all you can eat snack shop. The hotel is primarily used to house workers for the camp, but they welcome visitors. It felt like an extended stay resort at the end of the world. Highly recommended when making the trek all the way north!

Great place to rest and clean up after several days on the tundra hunting. We were able to eat well and wash our clothes. The stay allowed us to rest up and get back to hunting refreshed. Great service made us feel welcome and it was kinda hard to leave the comfort. Yes it is expensive, but it is Alaska, worth every penny.

The food is free for oilfield workers. 3 meals a day. Solo rooms w/ private bathroom and shower. Heater in room with single window. Bed is twin size. Only big enough for one person. May want to consider bringing a small fan and/or heated blanket. Free laundry on every floor. A sauna and weight room. It's pretty clean too. Modern decor. The vegetables aren't very fresh but it's free. The cafeteria has hot coffee. They also provide free lunch you pack yourself for work. (Usually pack in the morning while having breakfast) bring lunch box for work. you can connect ps5 or Xbox via hdmi with free WiFi. Not alot of storage in the rooms so only bring essentials. They have a small store attached in the hotel where they sell roughly 30 differentt items. Mostly tobacco products, drinks (dry hotel), and clothing items. (Few chargers and minimal hygiene) there's another more traditional store called Brooke's about 2 miles away. Parking is usually available but wildlife can run up on ya. Keep your head on a swivel when entering and exiting the vehicle. Staff is friendly and they have a shuttle for airport runs. This is probably the best/newest hotel in the remote arctic tundra. Hot showers in your room, most others are shared. Good luck to ya and git r done.

If going the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe bay, no reason to stay anywhere else. This place was new, cleanly and had a 24 hr cafeteria with food to go for your trip back. Tonya, who worked the front desk was personable and couldn't be more friendly or helpful. The rate was fair and all the meals were included. 40 inch flat screens in the room with great cable.

A modern camp. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Dinning room is roomy. Food is okay. Tourists should know there really is not a typical tourist style establishment in Deadhorse/ Prudhoe Bay. All "Hotels" are really workers camps. Some are older and more uncomfortable than others. Everyone in these camps, besides the one or two of you, are here to work - 12 hour + days or nights. Please be mindful of our much needed sleep and be quiet. Especially 8:30 - 4:30 in the Day and night as there are many sleeping during these times. If you are a tourist this camp or the Aurora will be your most comfortable stays. There really is not a lot to do or see up here. Stay overnight when you hit the end of the Dalton and turn around to drive back. I'm sure the sights are better on the drive than here. If you want to see the Arctic fly to Barrow.
